Had a party of 8 and it was very busy. We didn't have to wait long to be seated. The waitress was nice but did not check on us but twice and let our drinks run dry. Host staff and kitchen staff was great!

3 stars for food. Really no flavor 5 stars for atmosphere and wait staff. Not a bad experience. It's very popular so I must be a food snob.

Service 10/10 Cleanliness 10/10 Food 10/10 Quality 10/10 SPEED 20/10 I cannot believe we have been to Panama City hundreds of times and just NOW discovered Dat Cajun Place!!!! The gumbo was unbelievable. It wasn't extremely spicy but was full of flavor and goodies. The garlic bread that came out with it was delicious when dipped into the flavor juice of the Gumbo. The crab ball appetizer was delicious as well. Soft on the inside and crisp on the outside. It came with a tangy dipping sauce to top it off. The entrees! My hubby got the Crawfish Étouffée and it was the least favorite of the trip but still delicious. It didn't have the most flavor- but following the gumbo could've had something to do with that! I ordered the shrimp pontchartrain and holy mackerel..... it was amazing. The only thing that could've made it better was if I had two stomachs to order another plate full!!!! The garlicky creaminess mixed with the clumpy rice couldn't have been better paired. Gracious!!! Our service was blink of an eye fast and as soon as one place was empty it was taken away by a service. The service was untouched and has been the best we have had in Panama. They had a band playing too which was nice and they weren't over powering good conversation!!!!! Go check them out!

We tried this place for the first time last year for the shrimp boil and knew we had to come back! This time, we ordered the snow crab legs boil and blackened fish creole, both were very good! The BEST part of our meal was the toffee butter cake which we heard is new. The manager, Trish, and our server, Madie, were so lovely and we can't wait to see them next year!!!

Me and my husband just ate here and everyone was super nice! We were sat right away, waitress did not take away menus in case we wanted to order more. Food came out super quick and was kind of cheap. Baked oyster sampler was only about $22 today so not a bad price for 12! The inside was very cold(which I love) and had great music. We sat outside since it was still nice outside and they had live music! Would recommend to try!

I knew when I pulled in and they had an auxiliary parking lot I was in for a treat! Lots of room, airy and fresh! They greet you coming in with a smile and it took them a gre minutes to co-ordinate service because of a large group but you didn't feel neglected. Boudin balls I could take or leave but these were surprisingly good. Really good! The Rockefeller oysters were excellent! They are the best, East of New Orleans, hands down! A picture of these by another yelper is why I decided to eat here! Thanks, Yelp! The main course was Fried chicken tenders, potato salad, dirty rice and gravy.the potato salad was excellent! The gravy made the meal! Excellent Excellent I tool damn near the whole entree to - go because I was so far past full it was I had to be rolled out on a wheel barrow ...... That's why it took a week to write this review, I've been sleep ever since. You will love this place!

In town for Memorial Day weekend and had to check out Day Cajun Place! There was a long wait by the time we got in town the first day we got here and our fault we didn't go to waitlist so we had to skip. We decided to come back the following day after doing the waitlist this time and really enjoyed the process. The waiters were so accommodating and attentive; constantly checking on us but just enough where it wasn't annoying. We came on a Sunday and there was live music performances going on. We got the oyster sampler, small gumbo, and the Montecristo (not pictured) The montecristo was AMAZING. We've never had a deep fried ham and cheese but it was so cheesy and not overly greasy. The oysters were also HUGE! Small gumbo was very filling and I wish I ordered the large.
